Packaging Design: Sour Apple Gum Wrapper

A gum wrapper designed in Adobe Illustrator as SCF coursework (Graphic Design Basics, Fall 2024).

The brief

Design a product's exterior packaging, choosing the material and form as well as the graphics, colors and fonts.

The design

Sour Apple Gum uses a bright green stripe pattern, scattered illustrated apples and a tall engraved-style "Gum" wordmark with radiating lines. The flat layout also carries a complete back panel with nutrition facts, serving information and a barcode, the details a real package needs.

From screen to a real package

I printed the wrapper, cut it out and folded it into a working prototype to check the panels and folds.
