I'm Brandon Warrell, a graphic designer based in Palmetto, Florida, just across the river from Bradenton and a short drive from Sarasota. I design posters, logos, packaging, vehicle wraps and social media graphics, and I hand off files that are ready for print. I'm open to graphic designer, graphic artist and production artist roles, full-time, part-time or freelance.

Training

I earned the Graphic Design Support certificate from State College of Florida (SCF) in August 2026, and I'm continuing toward an A.S. in Graphic Design Technology there. Most of the work on this site started as SCF coursework, and each project page says so. The classes behind it include Graphic Design Basics, Photoshop, Typography, Communication Design and Digital Illustration. Before SCF, I graduated from Manatee School for the Arts in Palmetto.

Critique shaped a lot of this work. My International Rhino Foundation poster got better after I scaled the rhino to 90% and added about 400 more small words to close the gaps. My drop cap "P" got better when I removed the busy background so the letter could carry the idea on its own. I keep the drafts on the project pages so you can see how a piece changed.

Print-ready files

A design isn't finished until it prints the way it looks on screen. My files go out with 0.125 in bleed and safe zones, CMYK color, outlined type, and packaged Illustrator or InDesign files with their links and fonts. My Turntable Takeover poster, for example, is an 11 × 17 in, 4-color file in U.S. Web Coated SWOP v2, packaged for print.

Tools

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, After Effects and Premiere Pro for design, photo and video. Blender and Unreal Engine for 3D. Canva, WordPress and HTML for quick social and web work. If you're not sure which Adobe app a job calls for, I wrote a short guide: Illustrator vs Photoshop vs InDesign.

Where I work

I live in Palmetto and work with people around Bradenton, Sarasota and the rest of Manatee and Sarasota counties. I'm happy to meet in person, and remote work is fine too.
